About Joey

Joey was born in Dallas GA and has been a lifelong resident.  Prior to graduating high school Joey began a career as a professional wrestler.  After High School he wrestled nationwide as a part of Global Wrestling Federation and eventually on to World Championship Wrestling.  That career would prove to be short lived when in 1993 during a match he suffered a broken back ending his wrestling career.  He went on to become a very successful Atlanta area police officer receiving awards for Meritorious Service, Bravery, Life Saving, and a Special Chief's Award.  He was also named an Honorary State Lieutenant Colonel to the Governor's Staff by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal.  He has been a lifetime performer and has appeared in films like Remember the Titans and Dumb and Dumberer while still an active police officer.  Since his retirement from Law Enforcement he has appeared and starred in over 40 television and film titles in roles ranging from cameo to lead.

Joey has been instrumental in assisting hundreds of our Nation's Veterans visit their War Memorials in Washington D.C. through the Honor Flight Programs Nationwide.

Joey founded a non-profit outreach "Warmth for Winter" that has provided over 25,ooo coats, pieces of warm clothing, shoes, toiletries and personal need items to those in need of all ages since 2013.

Joey volunteers as a coach for Little League baseball where he shares his love of the "National Passtime, Baseball".  He has become and remains one of the most loved coaches in the league where his players are known to play practicle jokes on him but fight through crowds to get one of his hugs.   He resides in Dallas GA with his family and has a very rigorous acting schedule.  He is proudly represented by PureFlare Agent Brent Duncan in both Los Angeles and Atlanta as well as location projects worldwide.

My Success is all thanks to God

If at anytime I should wonder if miracles still happen I just have to go back to October 1993.  An injury in the wrestling ring on world wide television left me with a broken back and paralysis from the chest down.  The Doctors told me that I had lost the use of my legs and wouldn't walk again.  Through the prayer and belief of my friends and family nine days later although in a body cast, I stood and walked out of the hospital.  I'm not saying that the next year of body braces and learning to walk again was easy but, I have no doubt that a miracle happened in my body when those prayers started.  I urge each and every person who may ever hear or see me to learn about and seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is through him and only him that we gain true life.  Every day and every thing that I get to do is by his grace and his grace alone.
